About the Role

Pace is looking for a professional capable of designing Public Health and Fire Protection systems for various projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality requirements in order to fulfill client requirements.
The Pace Junior Public Health Engineer will be instrumental in the design of public health and fire protection systems as per client requirements, considering health and safety regulations. The incumbent will handle multiple Public Health and Fire Protection design projects simultaneously working closely with senior department engineer. This Junior Engineer will be required to create status report of the work assigned and completed by the modelers at different stages of work.

What you will be doing

Ability to gain knowledge of the latest international codes and make use of engineering software such as Elite (Fire), Water Cad and other related software.
Assist PH&FF Engineer in preparing design calculations.
Assist PH&FF Engineer in preparing documents required for ministries submission.
Assist PH&FF Engineer on determining the required Public Health and Fire Protection component/material capacities based on designs.
Coordinate effectively with other architects and engineers throughout project lifecycles in coordination with PH&FF Engineer.
Consult the PH&FF Engineer for gaining any technical guidance as and when required.
Check the work of a team of modelers/draftsmen.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards, applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare design sketches for modelers/draftsmen to prepare design drawings.
Protect the confidentiality of all designs within the section at all time.
Maintain continuous quality control on all drawings produced under the section, ensuring that they adhere to PACE quality standards (e.g. high standards of visual presentation, error free, properly dimensioned, x-referenced etc.).
Remain abreast on changes in local ministerial requirements regarding Public Health and Fire Protection systems.
Check the existing site utilities for connections to formulate and minimize the design.

Required Experience

0 - 3 Years of experience in design of Public Health and Fire Protection system.
Full awareness of Local and International codes / guidelines related to Public Health and Fire Protection system such as MEW, MPW, KFF (local civil defense) IPC, UPC, ASPE, NFPA, etc.
Hand's on experience on BIM software (Revit Model, Navisworks).

BS Mechanical Engineering

Certifications & Memberships

Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) Membership or Any local Engineer's society membership (for hiring outside Kuwait).

Essential Skills

Track record in multitasking and shall have proven decision making ability.
Good Internal and external communication skill such as ability to handle internal project coordination meeting with all disciplines, dealing with authorities, presentation to clients, etc.
Proven track record of the ability to express innovative ideas.
Demonstrated experience in excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
