About the Role

  • The Senior Digital Delivery Coordinator (SDDC) / BIM Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of digital delivery and BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across the Infrastructure department, ensuring consistency in all BIM projects, files, models, and departmental processes. Based in Kuwait, the SDDC works closely with the Digital Delivery Department, IT, and the Director of Infrastructure Department, facilitating collaboration across teams to oversee both local and international projects. Directly reporting to their department's Director and indirectly report through a technical stream to the Director of the Digital Delivery Department.
  • This role may occasionally require international travel for project coordination, cross-office collaboration, and participation in industry events to support best practices and continuous improvement.
  • As a vital part of the Digital Delivery team, the SDDC collaborates with the infrastructure team to drive the adoption of digital standards, workflows, and information management strategies across the department. Working closely with department Digital Delivery Coordinators (DDCs), the SDDC ensures alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • This role oversees BIM processes across the department, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and supporting consistent, high-quality project delivery.
  • In addition to project oversight, the SDDC works with the Digital Delivery Department and IT to maintain a robust digital infrastructure, including essential software and hardware, to support efficient project execution and data management. 

What you will be doing

  • BIM Standards & Guidelines Optimisation: Develop and maintain BIM standards, guidelines, and templates in alignment with ISO 19650 to ensure firm-wide consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with department and Digital Delivery leadership to ensure BIM initiatives align with overall digital delivery goals
  • Conduct audits to maintain BIM standards, in line with ISO 19650, and identify areas for improvement across projects.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of a strategic roadmap, identifying improvement areas and recommending adjustments to support the department’s digital transformation efforts and project delivery excellence.
  • Coordinate training programs and upskilling initiatives to ensure continuous staff development.
  • Develop and tailor BEPs for each project, ensuring they align with ISO 19650 standards and company protocols.
  • Enhance content library management by ensuring Revit families, CAD blocks, 2D details, schedules, and other resources are consistently updated, well-organized, and easily accessible across teams.
  • Focus on maintaining the library's relevance and usability by regularly monitoring usage patterns, assessing content alignment with project standards, and implementing updates to support efficient, standardized project delivery.
  • Establish and enforce protocols to ensure model quality, effective coordination, clash detection, and issue management workflows.
  • Lead initial BIM kickoff meetings to set project strategy, establish roles, and outline key milestones.
  • Identify emerging trends and business opportunities related to BIM.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of the CDE to monitor access, support seamless collaboration, and ensure compliance with project needs throughout its lifecycle.
  • Manage and utilise digital tools to oversee content libraries, perform model health checks, and automate routine tasks. Ensure that content and models are efficient, optimized, and compliant with project standards.
  • Manage the exchange of discipline-specific design models through the CDE or Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), ensuring compliance with established protocols and effective collaboration between teams.
  • Monitor and assess project execution to identify and address any deviations from established standards, supporting project teams in achieving quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of these tools, address issues as they arise, and provide training and support to project teams for their successful implementation.
  • Monitor project progress, maintain high QA/QC standards, and ensure the delivery of accurate and consistent design models.
  • Post initial setup is complete, transitions day-to-day BIM management responsibilities to the appropriate project team members, maintaining oversight and conducting periodic reviews to support quality assurance and address any issues as they arise.
  • Oversee BIM processes across all project stages to ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and/or project standards, maintain rigorous QA/QC protocols, and uphold consistent BIM practices.
  • Process Improvement & Optimisation: Drive initiatives to streamline BIM processes by developing automation routines that improve productivity while ensuring adherence to established BIM standards and quality protocols.
  • Provide comprehensive digital delivery and BIM orientation for new hires, ensuring familiarity with tools, standards, and processes to support a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Set clear benchmarks and KPIs, tracking performance metrics, and providing regular reports on progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Review proposals for BIM requirements and provide input on best practices to support project goals.
  • Support and promote Pace’s digital delivery and BIM capabilities by contributing to marketing efforts through material creation, web content, literature, interviews, and presentations at client-focused conferences and industry events.
  • Stay informed on emerging industry trends, evaluating and recommending software solutions that support evolving project and organizational goals.
  • Utilise established CDE templates as a baseline and configure them to suit project-specific requirements ensuring access controls, information exchange protocols, coordination workflows, and issue management processes are correctly defined and implemented.
  • Support department management with allocating BIM resources strategically across projects to meet varying needs.
  • Act as the primary BIM contact during project setup, coordinating requirements with clients and consultants and addressing escalated issues as required.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Infrastructure Department with expertise in BIM implementation and management.
 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline (Preferred).

Certifications & Memberships

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D Certified Professional is Preferable.
  • ISO 19650 Certification
  • Recognized BIM qualification (Preferred)

Essential Skills

  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Power BI.
  • Etabs, Safe, SAP2000, S- Concrete, RAM Connections, Ram Concept, Concide Beam.
  • IMAGINiT Clarity, Kinship (Preferred).
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 365.  
  • Expertise in standards such as BS/PAS 1192 and ISO 19650.
  • Strong understanding of BIM management processes, coordination workflows, and their application across design, construction, and delivery phases.
  • Strong understanding of OIR (organisational data needs for strategic goals), AIR (data for asset management and lifecycle value), and PIR (project-specific data for design, construction, and delivery).
  • Experience managing a Common Data Environment to ensure effective collaboration and information exchange.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo automation and similar scripting tools (Preferred).
  • Understanding of COBie/IFC workflows for data exchange and compliance (Preferred).
