About the Role

  • As the QA/QC Manager you will lead activities to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency in the processes related to projects and site works. 

What you will be doing

  • Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site.
  • Cooperate with the Project Quality Inspectors to analyse non-conformities.
  • Coordinates the relevant Tracking Systems for the correct identification of materials.
  • Evaluate the qualifications of inspection personnel.
  • Familiar with good laboratory practices (GLPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements and guidelines in food safety management and control, such as ISO standards and the Hazards and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system.
  • Has advanced problem-solving skills and can make effective decisions.
  • Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, equipment-specific specifications, and QMS requirements.
  • Oversee QC tasks, ensuring proper documentation of records and review of reports submitted.
  • Oversees audits and leads investigations into major quality deviations to determine root causes.
  • Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collects and files the required Quality Records.
  • Supervises the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
  • Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities.
  • Supports and participates in all internal/external audits.
  • Supports the Management team in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.

Required Experience

  • Over 15 years experience or as required by related construction supervision agreement.  
  • Experience having worked with reputable consultant engineering firms within the industry. 
  • Full knowledge and working practice of statutory authority requirements, standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge and working use of codes, regulations and submission requirements.

Education

  • An Engineering degree is expected. 

Certifications & Memberships

  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) Membership or any local Engineer's society membership (for hiring outside Kuwait) such as Saudi Society of Mechanical Engineers (in KSA), CRPEP (for Bahrain).
  • Additional training courses, professional and personal development with membership to professional groups, societies or institutes, desired.

  • Proficiency in using computer applications and software for efficient quality control management.
  • Able to assist clients and provide a service.
  • Can maintain systems, documentation, records, plans, procedures in a controlled, open and effective manner.  
  • Effective coordination skills, be a team player and collaborator.
  • Can communicate clearly, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Detail minded, thorough and systematic in their approach to work. 
  • Can motivate and train site teams involved in the effective implementation of systems to continuously improve.
