About the Role
- The Project Control Engineer will work on project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, cost control, and reporting to ensure timely and cost-effective of building projects as per required quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
What you will be doing
- Conduct earned value analysis (EVA) and other performance measurement tools.
- Coordinate change management, ensuring proper assessment of time and cost implications.
- Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of all milestones.
- Ensure compliance with project control procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, standards, and quality requirements.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying variances and proposing mitigation measures.
- Interface with client representatives on project performance, risks, and scheduling matters.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Prepare and set up project budgets, providing monthly cost management reports to monitor actual costs versus planned costs.
- Support cost control by tracking project budgets, commitments, and expenditures.
- Track project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement corrective measures.
- Work closely with site supervision teams, planning engineers, and contractors to validate actual progress and forecast completion.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years on-site in a project control role within building construction supervision.
- Prior experience in KSA or GCC mega projects highly desirable.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and cost control systems.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing contingency plans.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and control methodologies.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Certifications & Memberships
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) Membership or any local engineer's society membership, i.e. CRPEP (for Bahrain).
- Project management qualifications is an advantage.
