About the Role
- Serves as a developing professional in an architectural design team, developing and finalizing work on specific elements of a project under the direction and supervision of a Senior Architect or senior team member.
What you will be doing
- Adopt creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documentation to support these solutions.
- Collaborate with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common design & BIM model development tasks.
- Communicate with clarity, purpose and accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of discipline BIM model information and presentation.
- Coordinate with internal design disciplines to achieve a high quality, consistent set of presentation or design documents.
- Follow Pace standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Independently check the completeness & accuracy of own work prior to review by the Senior Architect or senior team member.
- Organize own work to achieve deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Prepare various schedules including wall, partition, door, ceiling, louvres and finishes as examples.
- Proactively check and coordinate project BIM models and drawings and ensure they meet Client requirements, industry standards and project BIM Execution Plans.
- Proactively support innovative design solutions and processes through research, analysis and development in collaboration with the wider business.
- Produce drawings either in Revit or AutoCAD.
- Support development of BIM models and drawings and co-ordinates using software.
- Support development of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, develops details and specifications.
- Support preparation of material schedules and sample boards.
- Support the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports.
- Take accountability for own work.
- Work with the team to communicate, solve, and update design and BIM models for coordination and design issues.
Required Experience
- 0 to 2 years experience in Architectural Design.
- Familiar in variety of software / media in the development, presentation and documentation of a design.
- Introductory level technical knowledge of practice line discipline.
- Introductory level of understanding of the design process and interfaces between design disciplines.
- Experience in supporting the development of projects in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience to extract, manipulate, validate and present BIM model information as required.
- Familiar in variety of software / media in the development, presentation and documentation of a design.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
Certifications & Memberships
- Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership should be realistically achievable within the probation period.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrate capability and willingness to learn Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks, presentation software and working on projects in a BIM environment.
- Demonstrate interest in and willingness to learn Industry BIM standards, processes and general approaches.
- Evidence of good architectural design skills.
- Evidence of general understanding of space planning and functional adjacencies.
- Capable of researching materials and learning about their properties & potential applications.
- Proven track record of good Presentation skills (drawn, written & verbal).
- Proficiency in Rhinoceros and/or other 3D design tools.
