About the Role
To perform various project management and administrative functions related to the International Projects Department, such as follow-up and overall coordination involving ongoing and upcoming opportunities. The International Projects Coordinator is also responsible for preparing proposals, planning, coordinating, and handling issues regarding international projects and further ensuring that overall work is performed efficiently and effectively on a daily basis.
What you will be doing
Identify potential opportunities for international projects by conducting research on funding agencies through their websites and other sources.
Plan, organize, and coordinate on projects (i.e.ongoing and upcoming) outside of Kuwait.
Provide assistance on matters deemed necessary by the Department Head in order to ensure successful completion of work and in meeting deadlines.
Provide effective support to the company’s international branch and project offices as and when required.
Review request for proposals (RFP) issued to Pace and coordinate on proposal submission.
Track and report status of all proposal elements to the Department Head.
Provide support in proposal preparation and ensure that it is submitted on time, meeting the requirements of client.
Submit detailed report of project activities involving status and progress to management at regular intervals.
Prepare and ensure timely submission of invoice to client / lead firm and follow-up on payments.
Monitor progress of projects and potential opportunities effectively.
Coordinate with consultants, Resident Engineers, and branch / project offices on a day-to-day basis.
Foster and develop effective working relationships with sub-consultants and international consultants / contacts.
Coordinate in preparation of budget / forecast of expected business.
Compile and submit required documents to ensure Client invitation to submit proposal.
Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in similar type of industry, work or role.
Preferably worked in the consultancy or contracting industry.
Experience and knowledge of international funding agencies’ activities and procedures.
Education
Bachelors in Civil Engineering or International Development Degree or similar.
Certifications & Memberships
Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) Membership or Any local Engineer's society membership (for hiring outside Kuwait).
Essential Skills
Excellent English in reading, writing, speaking is essential.
Arabic, French or another language is an advantage.
Advanced MS Office skills
Excellent at preparing reports and updates.
Project management ability to coordinate work tasks to meet deadlines.
Detail minded, thorough and systematic in their approach to work.
