About the Role
To assist the QA/QC Manager in managing activities to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency in the processes related to projects and site works.
What you will be doing
Ensure the maintaining of onsite quality control (e.g. through thorough testing of materials and verifying of materials, adequate storage of materials, contractor’s submittal of written undertakings, warranty and protection of installed systems etc.).
Review related items within the contractor’s construction schedule (CCS) in coordination with the Planning Engineer (e.g. shop drawing submittal log, procurement schedule, and material submittal log etc.) prior to its approval by the Resident Engineer.
Review the technical specification and provide awareness to their discipline team members.
Assist in resolving any issues raised by contractors (e.g. requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc); make recommendations to the Resident Engineer as appropriate.
Attend technical, operational and quality related meetings as appropriate.
Ensure that all materials delivered on site are being adequately stored and protected as per manufacturer’s recommendations in order to avoid damage of materials.
Prepare operational related correspondence for RE / PD review.
Provide technical support to the related discipline Site Inspection Teams for operations and materials.
Required Experience
Over 7 years experience or as required by related construction supervision agreement.
Experience having worked with reputable consultant engineering firms within the industry.
Full knowledge and working practice of statutory authority requirements, standards and regulations.
Knowledge and working use of codes, regulations and submission requirements.
Education
Diploma in an Engineering field.
Certifications & Memberships
Certification from Saudi Society of Engineers or local equivalent based on country requirement.
