About the Role

Mechanical Engineer will be engaged in providing specialized engineering tasks related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning as per approved project specification while working closely with other discipline.

What you will be doing

Create air balance calculations for optimum HVAC system that will ensure consistent air conditioning outputs.
Communicate directly with other disciplines if necessary to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environment.
Create and submit detailed bill of quantity for construction or extraction projects in accordance with set deadlines.
Design and prepare smoke and pressurization calculations based on project’s approved HVAC system.
Develop thermal load computations and analysis models, flow models, as required for the design of facility systems.
Ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality products/services and a reliable environmental attitude.
Facilitate the compliance of all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the areas of activity.
Research appropriate HVAC mechanical equipment as per client’s requirements.
To design the HVAC system as per the requirements mentioned in the proposal through various stages like designing, fabricating, and testing.

Required Experience

7-12 years of HVAC design experience.
Knowledge of using HVAC software ( HAP, Trace Software).
LEED background.
Knowledge of local and international codes and standards.
Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously in a similar environment.
Possess regional experience in design of HVAC works.
Previous experience in design of HVAC works for Mega Projects of different categories such as Mixed Use Development, Educational buildings, Health Care, Hotel, Sport Facilities, Neighborhoods, High Rise buildings, etc.
Good working knowledge in preparing documents for related Ministry approvals.

Education

Bachelors Deree in Mechanical Engineering.

Certifications & Memberships

Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) Membership or Any local Engineer's society membership (for hiring outside Kuwait).
LEED certification, desired.

Essential Skills

Proven record of interpersonal skills such as client interaction, he must be a strong team player and shall have ability to work pleasantly with a diverse work force.
Track record in multitasking and shall have proven decision making ability.
Good Internal and external communication skill such as ability to handle internal project coordination meeting with all disciplines, dealing with authorities, presentation to clients, etc.
Proven track record of the ability to express innovative ideas.
Demonstrated experience in excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
