About the Role
- To lead and direct the Pace Centre of Excellence teams to achieve successful delivery of Design projects within the stipulated budget targets, time frame and quality assurance standards.
- The primary role is to ensure all teams know what to deliver, when to deliver it and have the pre-requisite information and guidance to deliver.
- The job holder is to represent Pace before Clients and Stakeholders to enable and drive the successful delivery of projects under his/her review.
What you will be doing
- Act as a point of reference and management support source for the project teams and support project team members to focus efforts and resources for completion.
- Audit and check on performance and compliance of technical and planning teams to established contractual requirements, standards and practices. Return variances with clear comments and instructions for corrections.
- Be the effective interface with the project delivery teams.
- Be the liaison and interact as effective Project Leader with both Pace internal teams and also the Client’s representatives and Contractor’s leads as applicable.
- Be the owner of the actual project and its’ Project Status Report.
- Conduct candid and professional discussions with the Design Delivery Teams to explain contractual and Client requirements and expectations and agree methods for compliance.
- Cooperate and coordinate with the Design Teams and Head Of Section to enable the effective flow of information and effective oversight of Centre of Excellence (CoE) project related activities.
- Maintain the day-to-day client engagement / project issues/ risk management and responses.
- Manage the delivery of the project to time, cost and quality to achieve client satisfaction.
- Own the overall actions and responsibilities within the roles and responsibilities matrix.
- Provide leadership and focus to complete operational steps and task.
- Set up the project, program, change control, risk management, reporting and related activities.
Required Experience
- Must have Design project management background.
- Has worked as Lead or Senior Architect.
- Gained 10-12 years’ experience in large scale design projects.
- Worked in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
- Has Software experience using CAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project.
- Has knowledge and experience of scheduling, planning methods and tools.
- Has knowledge and experience of conditions of contracts, design processes and standards.
- Understands International codes and standards, local regulations and standards related to projects.
Education
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Design or Engineering.
Certifications & Memberships
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI).
