About the Role
- Senior Interior Designer is responsible for successful execution of interior design projects as well as ensuring that project designs are aligned with client requirements, project goals, and budget.
What you will be doing
- Attend and/or chair the discipline related technical, operational and supply chain meetings as appropriate.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Coordinate the communications with the Corporate Department regarding technical issues and queries.
- Ensure team members adhere to project schedules and quality standards.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Lead and mentor junior designers and design modelers.
- Maintain strong client relationships and manage expectations.
- Manage to guide and coordinate the submitted site methodology and inspection document reviews (MS, ITP, RA, IR, MIR, SAT, etc.), including review of the comments presented by the discipline team members.
- Manage to guide and coordinate the submitted supply chain document reviews (PQ, MAS, FAT), including review of the comments presented by the discipline team members.
- Manage to guide and coordinate the submitted technical document reviews (shop and as-built), including review of the comments presented by the discipline team members.
- Prepare technical and supply chain related correspondence for Resident Engineer E review.
- Prepare operational related correspondence for RE / PD review.
- Present design proposals and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
- Present review comments to RE / PD for further evaluation and endorsement to present back to the Contractor.
- Provide technical support to the related discipline Site Inspection Teams for operations and materials.
- Receive site methodology, inspection and supply chain documents (from routing) and distribute as appropriate amongst the Discipline Team members.

Required Experience
- 15 years in interior design work or as stipulated in the Construction agreement.
- Experience in site supervision is essential.
- Experience working for an Engineering Consultancy is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Masters qualification is an advantage.
Certifications & Memberships
- LEED AP Accreditation, desirable.
- LEED certification
- WELL Certification, desirable.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of local and international building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Creative and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to choose appropriate materials and finishes that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Efficient use of space to create functional and visually appealing interiors.
- Effective management of project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Ability to work seamlessly with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Flexibility to handle unexpected challenges and changes in project scope.
- Ensuring precision in every aspect of the design and implementation process.
