About the Role

  • As a Senior Recruiter, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be responsible for driving the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering with hiring managers, and ensuring the best talent acquisition strategies for a number of different Divisions. This role will focus on sourcing, attracting, assessing and securing top talent for roles in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, while ensuring compliance with labour laws and best hiring practices. You will work closely with business leaders, Talent teams, and external partners to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies that align with business needs, while prioritising an exceptional candidate experience at every stage of the hiring process. This is a critical role for a dynamic and growing business within the AEC sector. The Senior Recruiter will play a key role in attracting top talent and ensuring an outstanding candidate experience, positioning the company as a leading employer in the Middle East.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans with a strong emphasis on candidate experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and ensure clear communication with candidates.
  • Use various sourcing techniques (LinkedIn, job portals, social media, referrals, agencies) to build a diverse and engaged talent pipeline.
  • Stay informed on market trends and industry benchmarks to provide a best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Manage the entire recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience from initial contact to offer acceptance.
  • Conduct HR behavioural interviews and competency-based assessments with a focus on respectful and transparent interactions.
  • Ensure consistent and timely communication with candidates to keep them informed and engaged.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers, senior leadership, and Talent teams to enhance the candidate journey.
  • Act as a trusted talent adviser by providing insights and strategic recommendations to improve hiring efficiency while maintaining a candidate-first approach.
  • Collaborate with recruitment agencies, universities, and professional networks to build talent pipelines and create positive candidate experiences.
  • Participate in job fairs, campus recruitment, and employer branding initiatives to showcase our commitment to candidate engagement.
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members in delivering excellent candidate experiences.
  • Provide guidance on best practices in talent acquisition, interview techniques, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to improve recruitment effectiveness and enhance candidate interactions.
  • Ensure recruitment practices align with labour laws and company policies while maintaining a candidate-centric approach.
  • Manage applicant data within the ATS (SuccessFactors) with transparency and respect for data privacy regulations.
  • Generate and analyse recruitment reports to enhance the hiring process based on candidate and hiring manager feedback.
  • Continuously refine recruitment processes to improve efficiency and the overall candidate experience.
  • Develop employer branding strategies to position the company as a top employer with an emphasis on an inclusive and engaging candidate journey.
  • Train hiring managers on best recruitment practices to ensure positive candidate interactions and seamless communication.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in the AEC industry or related technical sectors.
  • Proven experience recruiting in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia with knowledge of employment laws.
  • Strong background in managing the full recruitment lifecycle with a focus on exceptional candidate experience.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (SuccessFactors preferred).
  • Familiarity with hiring metrics and recruitment reporting with a candidate-focused approach.
  • Expertise in various sourcing channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, and referrals.
  • Experience in graduate and experienced hires recruitment and alumni engagement initiatives with a candidate-first perspective.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Certifications & Memberships

  • Professional certification (CPSP, CIPD, AIHR or equivalent) is required.
  • Behaviour-Based Interviewing Certification is a plus.

Essential Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with a candidate-centric approach.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to ethically influence hiring decisions whilst maintaining a positive candidate experience.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities while ensuring seamless candidate interactions.
  • Strong knowledge of GCC labour laws and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite and HR systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of candidate engagement.
